Receipt Generator

Generate a store-style receipt — your store name and logo, purchased items with quantities and prices, tax and total — laid out like a real point-of-sale receipt (narrow, receipt-roll proportions) and downloaded as a PDF.

This receipt is a template and does not replace the tax or accounting obligations that apply to your business.

How It Works

Fill in your store details and optionally upload a logo. Add each purchased item with a quantity and price, set a tax rate and payment method, then click Download. The PDF page is sized like a real thermal receipt and grows taller automatically as you add items.

Subtotal = sum of (quantity × unit price) across all items · Tax = subtotal × tax rate · Total = subtotal + tax

Example

A coffee at $4.50 and two croissants at $3.25 each, with 8% tax, produces a $11.00 subtotal, $0.88 tax, and an $11.88 total, laid out as a narrow receipt with dashed section dividers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the same layout as a real store receipt?
The PDF page is sized to match an 80mm thermal receipt roll (a common point-of-sale printer width), with the same narrow, centered-header layout and dashed section dividers as a typical printed receipt.
Is my receipt data uploaded anywhere?
No — the receipt and its PDF are built entirely in your browser.
Can I print it on a real receipt printer?
The PDF is sized for 80mm thermal paper, so it should print correctly on most thermal receipt printers that accept PDF or standard print jobs, though exact compatibility depends on your specific printer and its driver.
What's the difference between this and the Invoice Generator?
An invoice is a formal bill-to-client document (business and client details, invoice number, due date); a receipt is a proof-of-purchase for a completed sale (store name, items bought, payment method) — same underlying math, different layout and purpose.
