Open Graph Tag Generator

Generate the Open Graph and Twitter Card meta tags that control how a page's preview looks when shared on social media.

Generated tags

<meta property="og:title" content="My Page Title" />
<meta property="og:description" content="A short, useful description of this page." />
<meta property="og:url" content="https://example.com/page" />
<meta property="og:image" content="https://example.com/image.jpg" />
<meta property="og:type" content="website" />
<meta name="twitter:card" content="summary_large_image" />
<meta name="twitter:title" content="My Page Title" />
<meta name="twitter:description" content="A short, useful description of this page." />
<meta name="twitter:image" content="https://example.com/image.jpg" />

Paste these inside your page's <head>. Generated entirely in your browser.

Processing happens locally in your browser. Nothing you enter is uploaded.

How It Works

Fill in the title, description, URL and image, then copy the generated tags into your page's <head>.

Example

Filling in a title, description and image URL generates the og:title, og:description and og:image tags social platforms read to build a link preview.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need both Open Graph and Twitter Card tags?
Open Graph tags are read by most platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, etc.). X (Twitter) prefers its own Twitter Card tags, though it falls back to Open Graph tags if those are absent — including both is the safest choice.
Will changes show up immediately when I share a link?
Not always — some platforms cache a page's preview and only refresh it periodically or when forced via that platform's own debugging tool.
